Yay! I'm glad I'm not the only one who notices this.

So we should all be long-winded with testimonies?

Didn't know this was quantifiable, but the Orthograph wouldn't lie. I am terribly glad that these very public "witnessing" isn't much of an Orthodox thing.

Because around some of the folks who are so inclined, I'm often tempted to say, "Wow. So is God as boring as you are?"

Which probably wouldn't go over well.

Grace,
We have long winded and boring conversion stories instead. I am guilty of a few myself. Now if people ask how I found the Orthodox Church I tell them I took a left on 17th and there it was.

So I'm wondering at this, and looking at it as a static measurement for a moment, methinks perhaps experience suggests the line intersects the Y axis and continues through the Y to a low point on the other side before rising again - like any parabola does - rather than slamming into the line and stopping. Differences may also measure the degree of comfort in revealing one's self... not actual differences. Some of us are just so... hmmm... out there but the difference may be one of personality rather than of substance.

On the other hand, if you look at the graph as depicting something of the motion of the spiritual life... it doesn't seem quite as harsh a judgment, but a course of direction towards the Y-axis. This also seems to coincide with experience/observation.
